Your Vetiver Purchase

Chrysopogon zizanioides, commonly known as vetiver and khus wrapped ready for delivery.

Your Vetiver Delivery

On arrival your package will be covered in a biodegradable bag. Inside this bag you will find damp newspaper covering the roots of your slips to protect and moisten them during delivery. Each bag will contain a maximum of 50 slips.

Planting Out

We recommend 3 to 5 slips per linear meter, areas with steeper erosion will require more than one row and it may be worth planting the slips closer together. It is normal for your slips look a like this picture as they establish themselves.

Chrysopogon zizanioides, commonly known as vetiver and khus 2 months after planting.

Maintenance

Like any plants the bare root slips need to be watered regularly, meaning daily until they get established. This normally takes around 3 months depending on your soil, altitude, weather etc.
